The Irricana and District Agricultural Society has been serving Irricana and surrounding communities since 1984.
We strive to encourage and support improvement in agriculture, and improve the quality of life for all those living in our communities by developing programs, services and facilities. We support local Agricultural, Community and Sporting events.
New members and volunteers are always welcome! Regardless of your involvement in the Agriculture Community, come check us out and let’s make a difference together!
The Irricana and District Agricultural Society operates and maintains the Irricana Recreation Complex and the Bev Macdonald Rodeo Grounds located in Founders Park. The Rec Complex includes meeting rooms, a dance studio, four sheet curling rink, full concession and lounge.
During the winter the four-sheet curling rink is home to the Irricana Curling Club.
The Bev Macdonald Rodeo Grounds is home to the Irricana Riding and Roping Club who host regular gymkhanas during the summer.
The Irricana and District Agricultural Society was established in 1984 to manage the existing Curling Rink and to allow for applications for Alberta Provincial Agricultural Grants. Each recreational area was able to obtain substantial funding for upgrades to buildings and ongoing operational funding.
